In Autumn 2003, we convened an Essene Ecstatic Mystical Gathering on the Equinox weekend of 2003.  The Participants  each have a page on this website. Some participants were here for a few hours. Some for the entire hours of the event. Some made it possible, through the giving of scholarships for others to attend. Some Souls said they would be here, but decided that their physical presence was not needed to ensure the success of this historic event. The Essene Ecstatic Mystical GATHERING is not about merely a  SPECIFIC event, but more so about a Soul Group activity.  The ground work for the Essene Ecstatic Mystical GATHERING was laid before recorded time. The GATHERING is the GATHERING OF THE WHOLE.  This gathering is inspired by Souls who are INTENDED to form the new ground; they re born as seeds planted within many diverse traditions  and expressions ON PURPOSE. When conditions in the world arise, The essential in them shows up. The essential is a Seed, and all Seeds if carefully and naturally tended grow into Peace on Earth. This in essence, expresses the Messanic ideal.   Edmond Bordeaux Szekely expresses this ideal in From Enoch to the Dead Sea Scrolls.  He writes, "To all those who perceive that peace for the whole depends upon the effort of the individual." He spoke of the Essenes as being  "active points in the universe." The Essenes are Jewish... Christian, Moslem, Hindu..they are Sufi, they are Hopi.   Some Essenes believe in God. Some do not use this  word.  They are known by their Walk and activities. They are known by example. Some wonder how the pyramids were build. Some wonder how the USA in its deepest spiritual overtones, was concocted. Some wonder about the Mysteries of a man who some call Jesus, and about the lives of his running mates who were all part the Essene Ecstatic Mystical Gathering at different epic moments in history.  These same souls walked with Moses.  These same souls cavorted with Ben Franklin and gardened with Thomas Jefferson.   Essenes do not know death. They wait. They do the Work. Not Romans coming or seen from a distance, not the fear of a Nazi bullet through the head is stronger than an Essene Ecstatic Mystical Gathering when it is Super Ripe and Ready. One of my Beloved best friends said this as we sat beside a pond: " I do not say that John or Jonathan will realize all this; but such is the character of the morrow which mere lapse of time can never make to dawn. The light which puts out our eyes is darkness to us. Only that day dawn to which we are awake. There is more day to dawn.
